Though you use the same dough, you'll use two dough triangles to form a rectangle, which is a larger portion size, allowing you to stuff the crescent with double the Nutella. Thankfully I had some croissant dough left over from making Baby Cheesuses and a few other bits in the cupboards. So we had a pile of freshly baked Nutella stuffed croissants with a bulging bowl of raspberries and steaming mugs of Pact coffee (a great little company I told you about a while ago).

  1. Take 2 cups All-purpose flour
  2. Make ready 1 and half tsp active dry yeast
  3. Make ready 2 tbsp sugar
  4. Take 1/2 tsp salt
  5. Prepare 1/4 tsp baking powder
  6. Get 1 egg,large
  7. Take 1 cup warm milk or warm water
  8. Get 1/4 cup butter
  9. Prepare Nutella as required
  10. Prepare 1 tsp black seeds (habbatussaudah)
  11. Make ready 1 tsp sesame seeds(kantu/ridi)

Once the croissants were placed in a butter dish, I poured the remaining egg mixture on top. Spoon some Nutella onto each triangle. Then roll into a croissant shape and pop 'em on a baking sheet. Repeat with the remaining puff pastry sheet.

Instructions to make Nutella stuffed croissants:
  1. Sieve the flour and add the yeast, baking powder, sugar and salt.stir it so that it's all well mixed.Gradually add the egg & warm milk,stirring it in with a spatula at first until the dough starts to hold together,and then continuing to knead together with your hands until the dough has softened.
  2. Place in a container and cover with a damp towel. place in an warm place(even in the oven or micro-wave)and leave it to rise to about double its original size(40mins to an hour)
  3. Once risen,knead and divide into 3 balls,roll each of d dough into a rectangular shape and brush some butter then top with d other dough continuously until u are all done with d dough
  4. The dough should be1 or half inch thick,roll again and use ur sharp knife or pizza cutter to divide d rectangular flatten dough into 2 part on d long length
  5. Use the pizza cutter to maked triangles on the rectangular length dough to make a croissants,take one of the maked triangle;Place some Nutella at the large portion of the edge.
  6. Roll carefully towards the pointed edge,tucking the pointy end underneath,curve down the edges of your rolled up croissant to form the crescent shape,place the croissants on a greased tray…
  7. Apply egg-wash and sprinkle the black seeds and sesame seeds…
  8. Then bake in a preheated oven at low heat for 15mins or 20mins or until done.
  9. When ready,remove and place them on a cloth,and take the remaining half tbsp of butter,and gently tough up the croissants with it to give them a nice shiny soft finish….and they would smell heavenly too.๐Ÿ˜‹๐Ÿ•บ
  10. Cover the croissants in the cloth for about 10mins before serving,this gives the butter to get absolutely fully into the croissants, there by making them soft and extra delish.

Then roll into a croissant shape and pop 'em on a baking sheet. Repeat with the remaining puff pastry sheet. Then bake the dozen all together until they puff up and are nice and golden and flaky. Cut each croissant almost all the way through lengthwise (like you would do for a sandwich) and. In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, cream, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon and salt.
